Deacon John, You Will Be Missed!
Deacon John Fredette has decided to follow God's call to pursue therapy full time and will no longer be in the role of Ministry Operations Manager for COLFS. Deacon John is a licensed Catholic psychotherapist dedicated to positive change by gaining a deeper understanding of who the human person is in relation to God. He is available for counseling and therapy at his office in Vista or throughout California via video Telehealth for individuals, couples, and families to overcome challenges, build relationships, and recover from the setbacks and hardships of life. Welcome Vanessa Alves, Our New Ministry Operations Manager!
We are so excited to welcome our new Ministry Operations Manager, Vanessa Alves! As a local Escondido resident, Vanessa is excited to use her role as Ministry Operations Manager to serve her community from a unique faith-based perspective. Having studied Business Administration at UC Riverside and receiving her Master in Healthcare Administration degree from Walden University, her biggest goal is to expand access to healthcare, especially for women in this community, all while guided by the Holy Spirit. However, it was not until recently that she understood the power of the Holy Spirit. Even though she was baptized as a child, she did not receive her First Communion and Confirmation until April 2019. Since then, she has been very active with the Church of the Resurrection through serving on the Parish Council and serving with the Filipino Community. In her spare time, she loves to golf, cheer on the San Francisco Giants, and spend time with her husband, Alexandre, and dog, Clark.
COLFS Escondido is Expanding!
We are excited to announce that we have secured additional office space in Escondido to allow for the expansion of COLFS Ministry Operations. The suite is adjacent to the existing space, so we will now occupy suites 101 - 106. The Ministry Team will occupy the new office, and will now have more space for education programs, client counseling, retreats, and more!
