Supervisor Jim Desmond needs our help. This Tuesday, the 14th of September, the San Diego Board of Supervisors will be voting to declare "San Diego a Champion for Reproductive Freedom". This is put forth by Supervisor Nora Vargas. This is extremely unfortunate and we're hoping you will help us and stop this madness.
The following are actions we can all take to stop this from happening:
- Come down to the Board of Supervisors meeting. The meeting will start at 9 am on Tuesday. You can come to fill out a speaker slip and each person will get two minutes to address the board. This is always the most effective way, but it does take the most time. HOW TO SPEAK IN PERSON: VIDEO
- You can call into the Board meeting. You will get two minutes to address the Board, over the phone. You have to register to speak before 9am. You can do so by following this link. The item is listed as #3: CALL THE BOARD!
- You can email the Board of Supervisors. This is pretty straightforward, but you can email each member how you feel. It's most likely that Fletcher, Remer-Lawson & Vargas will be the ones in favor. EMAIL THE BOARD!
The darkness continues to try and drown out the light in this world but if we stand up to this darkness it has nowhere to go but fade away. Let's all "Take up space in the public square" and not let this darkness gain an inch. Join us!
