As we prepare our hearts this Advent for the birth of the Christ-child, we look forward with hope to the mystery of His coming: Christ’s light truly pierces the darkness of our world. Yet, darkness persists.
The culture of death has grown more aggressive. Over 1.1 million children were lost to abortion in the U.S. last year. One in four abortions occurred via telehealth, often in isolation. Mail order abortions are proliferating. In California, 70% of abortions are now chemical, administered without support or alternatives.
This is the crisis. However, there is a response.
COLFS Medical Clinic is the only Catholic community clinic serving greater San Diego offering life-affirming care to women in crisis. Thanks to your generosity, we provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, Abortion Pill Reversal, and compassionate support—all free of charge. We meet women in their darkest hour, both in person and online, offering them the light of Christ and hope for life.
The need is growing, and so must we.
To double our effectiveness over the next year, we must expand our physical presence and digital reach. Our La Mesa clinic is on track to be fully renovated by January, which will enable us to offer all COLFS Medical Clinic services full-time at two locations. At the same time, we must invest in expanded online marketing to reach abortion-vulnerable women where they are—on their phones, in their search engines, and in their moment of decision.
